These Terms of Service apply to the POLIFY mobile application (package: com.polify.polify), published on Google Play by kivulideveloper. Approved by group consensus for compliance and clarity.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the POLIFY app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. This agreement is effective as of the date of first use.
2. Description of Service
POLIFY is a daily motivation and inspiration application that helps users build positive habits, receive uplifting content, and track emotional wellness. Features include:
- Daily motivational quotes and affirmations
- Gratitude journal and mood tracking
- Habit streaks and goal reminders
- Personalized inspiration feeds
- Positive mindset exercises and prompts
3. Wellness & Mental Health Disclaimer
- POLIFY is NOT a medical or mental health treatment device and does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or crisis intervention.
- Always seek professional help for mental health concerns. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a mental health hotline immediately.
- The motivational content is for general inspiration only and should not replace professional psychological advice.
- Do not disregard professional medical/mental health advice because of anything you read in this App.
4. User Accounts and Data
- You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality and all activities under your account.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You retain full ownership of all journal entries, mood logs, and personal motivation data you create.
- Data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to secure, encrypted cloud storage.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App's source code
- Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access
- Upload, post, or transmit content that is abusive, offensive, defamatory, or violates others' rights
- Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm anyone
- Interfere with the App's operation or security features
6. Responsibility & Safety
- You acknowledge that building motivation and mindset change involves personal responsibility and effort.
- You assume all risks associated with applying motivational content to your personal life.
- The App is not intended for individuals with severe mental health conditions without concurrent professional guidance.
7. User-Generated Content
- You retain full intellectual property ownership of journal entries, affirmations, and notes you create.
- You grant POLIFY a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display your content solely to provide the service.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or is deemed harmful to others.
8. Subscriptions & Payments (if applicable)
- Some premium motivation features may require a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- All payments are processed through Google Play Store; refunds follow Google Play Store policies.
- Price changes will be communicated in advance.
9. Intellectual Property
- The App (code, design, proprietary quotes library, and branding) is owned by kivulideveloper.
- Your personal journals and user-generated content remain your exclusive property.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without explicit written permission.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services (analytics, cloud storage, authentication). Use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that motivation content will produce specific emotional or lifestyle results, or that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, kivulideveloper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including emotional distress, loss of data, or loss of motivation streaks, arising from use of the App.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless kivulideveloper from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these terms.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notice or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Termination
You may delete your account and discontinue use at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.

- Backups: Temporary backup copies are automatically purged within 30 days.
